My husband and I will still be blogging daily on www.firsttimemomanddad.com and then I'll stay on here carrying on about my flabby butt, belly, hormones, postpartum issues and anything else that deserves mentioning. I mean I have heard horror stories about my hair falling out, skin sagging, more acne, of course postpartum depression, more weight gain, intense breast feeding, all kinds of stuff! We all know how much I love to bitch so it should come as no surprise I am going to keep it up!
I don't want to blur the line of the new site with me bitching about post pregnancy issues. The new blog is all about the wonders of parenthood, not postpartum me-hood. This has always been the place for pregnancy and pregnancy related issues. Therefore I plan to keep this blog going until I feel 100% free of my postpartum-ness...
God help us all if I get knocked up before that happens!
Side note: I am starting to freak out about delivery. It's not so much the csection, as it is the becoming a mom that's scary. I'm going to post all about it tomorrow. I feel an "Observations of a crazy lady about to deliver" coming on...
I think I have the opposite problem. No freak-out whatsoever about being a mom, but boy am I nervous about the delivery. Actually, not even the delivery, but the ability to have a natural one (vs. a section or an induced one). Looking forward to your crazy lady rant! :)
ReplyDeleteJust remember it's a means to an end... The goal is a safe, health, happy mom and baby on the the other side. I suppose you just need to make it there... what are you nowm 40wks 6 days? I ll be readfing about you having the 14 pound baby. lol
Deleteoh and P.S. I know it's so easy for me to say no worries mate... but we both know, until it's over it's worries galore!
Just saw a story this morning about a woman in Iowa last week gave birth to a 14 lb boy without surgery or an epidural. Her labor was only 6 hours long, and she only pushed for 6 minutes. She has another toddler son who was born at over 12 lbs.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am so glad you will be blogging about postpartum issues.
ReplyDeleteI read about her yesterday... HOLY CRAP! See I always piss annd moan and then someone beats me! But, as you know it still doesn't stop me... ; )
DeleteFor the name how about Jackson or max
DeleteWe actually sat on Jackson for awhile but no... And Maxwell is my nephew. Great ideas what else you got?? ;)
DeleteI just want to wish you luck! Don't know if I'll get to comment again before your big date. I've absolutely loved your blog and can't wait to continue reading. Hope everything goes well with the arrival of the little guy (and can't wait to find out his name). On a side note... I took pictures of myself last night... at 38 weeks +4 I have a moonpie face too :( I told my husband no more pictures until after I've lost some of this baby weight!! You are going to be an amazing mother! Take care of yourself in these last few hours.
